Castelnuovo Berardenga

Castelnuovo Berardenga rises above a hill between the river and the river Malena Ombrone. Since 1932 is part of Chianti wine area, being divided between the area under Colli Senesi and the Classic of which he is the southernmost town. The castle was built for the will of the Commune of Siena in 1366 and currently retains a tower and a few plot, in the past was home to the Vicariate of Berardenga. In the main church are a Madonna and Child dated 1426 by Giovanni di Paolo.
