The village of Rapolano Terme rises in the woods and valleys of the river Ombrone. The lands of Rapolano, finding themselves in a territory at the border have always been over the centuries taken targeted by several attacks near Arezzo. From the second half of 1500 Rapolano underwent a final attack, with destruction, through the work of Florentine and Spanish, of his castle.
