Rapolano Terme

The village of Rapolano Terme rises in the woods and valleys of the river Ombrone. The lands of Rapolano, finding themselves in a territory at the border have always been over the centuries taken targeted by several attacks near Arezzo. From the second half of 1500 Rapolano underwent a final attack, with destruction, through the work of Florentine and Spanish, of his castle. The town is characterized by a spa known already in Roman times. Initially from a largely agricultural economy has gone to the exploitation of the territory thanks to travertine and thermal waters.
